We’re delighted to say we completed our 2.6 challenge!
In the process we raised £1,000 for Survivors of Human Trafficking Scotland (SOHTIS) who are currently specifically raising money for Project Light which is helping to recover victims of trafficking in Edinburgh.
Victims of trafficking are now living in fear of contracting the Coronavirus in addition to being exploited through forced labour and criminal activity. Over the next few months SOHTIS are helping to locate these people, ensure their recovery and provide access to the specialist help they need.
Development Manager, Joy Gillepsie, said in her thank you: “We are so grateful to all the staff at Sutherland Independent for joining with us and raising much needed funds to ensure the freedom of others.”
